Mistry Music provided excellent entertainment for our wedding held at the Jumeirah Carlton Hotel in Knightsbridge on the 18th July 2009. We were particularly impressed by the way in which the DJ, Roshan and his team, managed to adapt the music to our diverse guests, catering to all needs, and keeping everybody on the dance floor all night long! The two classical Kathak dancers provided fantastic entertainment during dinner, dancing to an excellently choreographed selection of old and new Bollywood classics. Overall a great night’s entertainment.

If you want the services of a group of people who will deliver a little bit more than the Sitar & Tabla players and DJ for your wedding +/- reception then I strongly recommend you consider MistryMusic. We got married at the Mandarin Oriental Knightsbridge on the 12th of April 2008.

Without a shadow of doubt Jay and his team Professors Of Sound were on call for the whole day in the help of running and executing of our wedding. They liased readily and diplomatically with friends and family and helped in delivering a real fairy tale wedding.

So their services of music to meet my needs was great but more than anything else it was being able to rely on them for the added things of organising and time keeping.

I really couldn't praise them enough without sounding extreme!

Wedding Planning 14/10/2007

Dear Jay

Now that we have had a few days to recover from “Nimita’s” wedding on the 14th October 2007 at the Memorial Hall & Theatre, Barry Cardiff. I just wanted to drop you a personal note to say a big, big thank you for everything, making the weekend such an unforgettable and beautiful memory.

I don't even know where to start. There is not enough we can say for all of the great hard work you did for us. You're simply the BEST!

You have helped my wife “Dolly” and me more than you will ever know. We are both extremely happy with the way everything turned out on “Nimita’s” special day. You did an excellent coordination job - before and during the event, everything was beautifully organised and you looked so relaxed and happy yourself all the time meant that I did not have to worry about anything myself!!!! We got to enjoy the day because of your hard work and the fact that you and “Bhavin” stayed up until well after 4 am on the day before the wedding to make sure everything was right. That really is first class service from you. I am struggling to find the right words to describe our gratitude to you.

All the feedback we have had from guests has been very positive – “food was delicious”, “service was excellent”, “one of the best weddings I have attended”, “well organised” – are some of the comments. So many said to me that they really enjoyed the wedding and genuinely seem to mean it.

The Bride Doli entrance was simply beautiful and everyone I have spoken to since say how entranced he or she was with this part of the ceremony. I want you to know that a number of my close family members and friends complimented you to me on your professionalism and personal attention. I too noticed all the care and attention you lavished on everyone you came in contact with. Thanks for your constant attention to detail and flexibility to making last minute changes. Thanks for your great support on the day itself and in the months leading up to it– you really did come through for us like you said. Thank you once again for doing an amazing job.

For our wedding at Fennes Estate on the 23rd June 2007, MistryMusic provided the Lagna Geet for the wedding ceremony, as well as live fusion trio (Tabla, Sax and Sitar) during dinner and a DJ for the after-party. We were all hugely impressed with the quality of service provided, both during the preparation process and on-the-day performance. The live trio in particular received acclaim from the guests, and created a wonderful ambiance during dinner. The Tabla and Sitar were absolutely perfect during the wedding ceremony at Hanbury Manor Hotel on the 30th December 2006. The East-West duo certainly reflected the exact mood of the day. They feature heavily in our wedding album!

The DJ was spot on playing our own music during dinner and then all our favourite Bollywood tracks for the disco afterwards. Jay's idea that we follow the Dhol player instead of a traditional first dance was inspired!

We still get comments from people on how original the set-up was and how entertaining overall the entertainment was. The music flowed throughout the day without a single hitch thanks to the professionalism of all at Mistry Music."

We would like to say a big Thank you to Jay and his team who performed at the Sanji event on 22nd July 2006 in Croydon(Oshwal Mahajanwadi). The event took months and months of planning and it helped for us to be liaising with Jay at Mistry Music who remained organised and professional throughout. There was lots of praise and positive feedback from our guests, some of whom have already requested their details from us for prospective events. Mistry Music catered for everything we wanted for the evening, from live singing for the Raas Garba to bhangra to end the whole night off. I would like to mention that although there was some last minute changes to the event timings and the schedule for the evening, Jay and his team were able to adapt to this accordingly ensuring that the whole evening ran smoothly and guests were entertained throughout. Tamil Wedding Reception 26/08/2006

Thank you for the live music you supplied at our Tamil wedding reception on the 26th August 2006 at Lanfranc School, Mitcham the music was good even though your band sings more Bollywood, but that they also sung Tamil songs that was well appreciated. The timing, quality and the performance of the band was good, I thought the music could have been slightly faster, but overall it was good.

Live background music 23/04/06

The rapturous beat of the Dhol began a most magical evening. The music began with the beautiful voice of your lead singer, which was just sheer joy. From the moment you led us into the hall till the very last Ramjanui, there was celebration, laughter and of course dancing.

Your professionalism and the sheer talent of your singers, has kept all of our friends and family, talking about my Sanjee to this very day. I will never forget the happiness and smiles of all our guests whilst they were dancing.

We began the night with the Garba, which was fantastic. The band played everything from traditional wedding songs to songs celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna. The band had everyone up dancing. The music was a delight and melded into the twirling colours of the Saris. Then came my Sisters dance. Your staff made sure that all the arrangements were in place for her and her friends and your ad lib comparing led to many laughs. Even during dinner you ensured that the guests were entertained with “mehfil geet”.

The Raas began and everyone played. The band sang all the famous hits and many, many more. The music continued long into the night with the fast beat of the Tabla and Dhol and the soaring voices of the singers.

Quiet simply Jay, you and your band made my evening perfect.

I cannot thank you enough for the care and love you showed us all. Now don’t forget I’ve two more sisters and you’ve promised to be there!

To say you and the band were amazing would be an understatement!

Thank you for your services and performance at our wedding on Sunday 17th July 2005 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel.
We must sincerely say that having the Tabla and Sitar playing in the background during the wedding ceremony and cocktail reception was a decision that we do not regret making. Although It was a busy day for us both, hearing you playing is something that we both remember so distinctly. What seemed like an extra touch for our wedding day, turned out to actually be fine tuning our day into something unique and even more memorable.

We both want to say thank you for all the hard work you put into organising, event planning and wedding coordinating our wedding day with us on the 4th September 2005 at Fennes Estate Braintree Essex, and we wouldn't have had such a fantastic day without your help. Wedding and Reception Party 26/06/2005

We have great pleasure in thanking you for coordinating and arranging the entertainment for all our wedding events. I.e Sanji, Wedding and Wedding Reception at SSPCC Hall Southall, Oswal Centre and Wicksteed Park Kettering, February 2005.
We felt that the organisation was second to none. We had planned for every eventuality and everyone was involved with the planning process. This way, the events catered for everyone's needs.
Jay’s coordination was extremely helpful in many ways. He was able to apply his prior experiences to ensure that we had considered all options and outcomes. He provided detailed schedules, providing specific timings for every stage of each event and gave responsibility to people to ensure everything was done.
The events themselves went without a hitch. Everything ran to time, and the stress-factor was minimal - as this had been delegated to Jay!
The band was very good - they were professional yet accommodating to all of our (many) requests! They were set up and ready, having completed all their sound checks before the events commenced. They played a variety of music, ranging from Hindi classics to current bhangra! They were able to keep the crowd on the dance floor. The DJs were also very professional with both their timing and presentation. They also accepted requests and the lighting system looked great!
Overall, the entertainment was fantastic. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves - with a range of music to suit all tastes.
They provided a professional service and we would recommend Mistrymusic to anyone.

Wedding Reception Planning 03/09/2004

I would like to take this opportunity in thanking you for managing the coordination of our Wedding Reception on the 4th September 2004 at Second City Suite in Birmingham.

It meant that we had less stress planning and managing the event. It was great that you were able to travel from London to help us plan our reception. You managed to find us a Toast Master at a great price which we could not. You managed everything from the Catering company, the band and the venue coordinator.

The evening itself went very smoothly. We were on schedule and we had a reception how we exactly wanted. Our guests and family still say they had a great everning. To us and our family, it was just a great way to end the wedding and start a new life together.

I would recommend your services to anyone who is getting married and want to have someone else manage the event.

Also, we would like to thank you for providing us with two professional dhol players at our wedding on the 29th August 2004 at Stockport Town Hall. They were great and made the wedding that little bit special.

Finally, I would like to thank you for playing the dhol at our engagment in August 2003 in Manchester. You made my entrance special and everyone really enjoyed the sounds of the dhol.

Indian Classical Music 02/03/2005

I would just like to let you know that everything went really well with the music on Sunday 26th February at Haandi Restaurant in Edgware. Everyone was very impressed at the quality of both the Tabla and Sitar players and it really made the event a special one.

In terms of logistics, your team was on time, very professional and very accommodating to our requirements. There weren't any issues or problems during the day and they participated in the event just as we envisaged, providing great classical Indian music throughout the afternoon, that neither overwhelmed the occasion nor go unnoticed. What we wanted was really good live Indian classical music going on in the background whilst guests were dining and talking, and your team managed to provide that superbly.

I have no problem in recommending Mistry Music to anyone who is hosting a special event.
